Born out of a love for music and performing...
The BlackJack Gypsies arrived on the scene in 2012, after performing & recording originals and covers of Rock-N-Roll music with various bands in the Cleveland and Detroit areas.
Members include:
Laura Yartz: Vocals and Rythem Guitar
Debi Becksted: Vocals and Percussion
Candy Olson: Vocals, Lead Guitar, Mandolin
Marlene D`Amico: Drums and Percussion
It was our love of harmonies that made us look back to the music of the Woodstock Era. An era of protest and longing for peace that was the pinnacle of such thought-provoking, beautifully written songs that inspire us all to this day.
Years and friendships have brought us together to form our band and we're so grateful for those who follow us and come to listen and enjoy music memories of the past.
