The Untold Story

Place the Mouse over the story to stop it from scrolling

Once upon a time in an ancient land there were four beautiful young girls that aimlessly roamed the redwood forest. This is their story...

First, there was Marlene. She searched the forest floor to find the perfect sticks and hollowed trees to bang on, and would do so endlessly until the night whispered a sweet song in her ear and she fell fast asleep. She would roamed with her sticks banging on everything she could day after day until she developed the perfect rhythm that could be heard through out the nearby town.....

Second was Laura. She would unravel her clothes and would tie them to long branches…. so tight that when she plucked the strands of cloth they would create beautiful sounds. Sounds so beautiful that she would be inspired to make up the sweetest songs and sing beautiful songs as she plucked the strings. She played her stick and sang her songs for so many years that the towns people soon began to love the sounds and the songs she made. They would put food, drink and clothing at the edge of the forest hoping that she would once again sing and play.....

Third was Debi. Soon she began to sing with the blue birds and harmonize with the bears. She would sing beautiful songs of ancient times as well as make up her own insane melodies….. melodies that soon the animals would sing with her. The people in the nearby towns only heard pieces of her melodies because she never stayed in the same place twice….
She was a true Gypsy!
However, everyone that heard her even once….. was mesmerized and wanted to hear more.....

Last, but not least, there was Candy. One day when she was roaming through the woods of the forest, she found a strange stick that was strung with cloth strings just lying there on the forest floor. She soon found that by plucking the stings she could create crazy sounds and soon made up her own insane songs…
Which she did for many years … night and day… It is rumored that on some quiet nights you can hear her strumming her stick of strings and screaming out into the night like a wolf. Very few though have actually seen her, and those that have caught a glimpse have said she has hair like a bear and wild haunting wolf eyes and they run in fear.....

One morning, many, many years later...
Each girl was traveling on a separate path in the forest…. Little did they know…. that each path ended at in the middle of the forest… A dead end… which was a circle that came to be known as…. The circle of the gypsies….

First was Debie... She was traveling along singing away when she found this circle in the middle of the forest and started dancing... like a wild crazed animal.... soon though she realized she had been traveling for so many hours and needed a rest. So... She laid down in a grassy area next to a fallen tree and soon was fast asleep.

Hours later... Laura came to the circle in the middle of the forest, and thought she was alone... so started playing and singing in the circle in the middle of the forest. During one of her songs, she heard a beautiful harmony singing along with her. She became startled and jumped up into the air and turned to find Debie standing behind the fallen tree with her eyes closed and her hands together as if in prayer singing along with Laura. Laura, even though startled, was fascinated by the beautiful sounds they had created together and soon continued her song. They sat in the circle together for the rest of the morning singing every song they knew and dancing in every inch of the circle…..

Late hide from this crazy yet fascinating beat in fear of their lives… Soon they saw a crazy dark haired girl dancing into the middle of the circle…. This crazy girl had entered the circle in the middle of the forest and was just banging…. Wildly…. away on her tree drum dancing like a monkey….
Laura and Debi didn’t know what to do…. But soon…. Laura had a brilliant idea and started strumming her stick with strings to the insane beats… and Debie started singing her insane songs and this time Laura harmonized. When Marlene heard the new sounds she couldn’t help but to love it and banged even louder and faster on her tree drum. Soon they had become fast friends…. So there the three of them sat in the circle in the middle of the forest creating new songs till the sun faded away… and nighttime had fallen…..

The three girls took a break to make a fire because it was too dark to see... when suddenly… they started hearing wolf like sounds…
The noises they heard sounded wild, crazed and insane, yet very familiar. These sounds kept getting closer and crazier until they all got scared and hid behind the fallen tree. The three sat there with their backs against the tree holding on to each other afraid for their lives, oh those sounds...
Soon Candy entered the circle in the middle of the forest… howling away like a rabid wolf dog and dancing around the recently made fire like a crazed insane wolf woman. The three girls behind the tree slowly peeked out to get a look at this thing invading their camp fire and was shocked to see that it was just another girl like themselves. They listened to the baffling sounds that were coming from the stick with strings… It was Marlene who first took a chance and started playing a beat to the crazy sounds. Then Laura started playing her stick with strings and soon Debie started singing along...

WOW.

If you could only have seen the terrified look in Candy’s eyes when she realized she was not alone!
But her fear was quickly overcome because she had fast… fallen in love with the beautiful music that together the four of them were making… She was in heaven.

So, there it is my friends... The four wild... crazy girls started roaming the Redwood forest together and soon became famous in the nearby towns for their beautiful songs... Eventually becoming famously known as:

Rocker & The Black Jack Gypsies
Note; you might be wondering where the “Blackjack” came from. Well that’s a whole other story in itself and soon to be told, but on another day. So come back often if you’re looking to hear about that crazy story!
